M.Tech. Programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering

Eligibilty

A candidate should have minimum CPI of either 6.0 in a 10 point scale or 60% of marks in the qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different categories, as indicated below.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent or M.Sc. (Electronics) or Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

The eligibility criterion will be same for both the Online and On-Campus M.Tech programme in ECE.

Both working professionals and non-working candidates are allowed for the online M.Tech programme in ECE

The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application based on its evaluation of whether an applicant can complete the course or not.

Relaxation for SC/ST/PWD Candidates

Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ST/PWD applicants.

Additional Conditions for Candidates Still to Appear in Qualifying Examinations

Candidates still to appear in their qualifying degree examinations may also apply, provided they appear in all their qualifying degree examinations and complete all requirements for their degrees before 31-07-2023. If selected, such candidates shall be admitted provisionally, and they will have to furnish the results of their qualifying degree examinations latest by 30-10-2023. Further, they must fulfill the minimum requirements of marks/CPI, and other conditions. Failure to fulfill any of these requirements, shall automatically result in cancellation of admission

Reservation of Seats

Reservation of Seats for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS and PWD categories.

OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will have to enclose certificate and self-declaration statement as per format indicated below. The OBC (NCL) Certificate, issued by competent authority, on or after 01-06-2022, shall only be acceptable.

SC, EWS and ST students must provide certificates issued by a competent authority.

PWD candidates must produce approved Medical Certificate for 40% (or more) disability.
