About
- Dr. Mohd Mansoor Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati in Assam, India. He received a Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati, Assam, India, after serving around three years as a Scientist-Trainee in CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh. He completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia-New Delhi, with a Gold Medal to his record.
- He has been in the area of teaching, learning, and research for more than a decade and is one of the founding faculties of IIIT Guwahati.
- He holds many accolades in research from the government, including recently in "Vibrant Gujarat" as the best technology award in 2019.
- He primarily focuses his present research on the area of fiber optics and photonics. Apart from this, his secondary research areas are optoelectronics/metamaterial sensor design and fabrication in agriculture and healthcare.
- He also focuses his readings on core electrical and electronics engineering subjects to make his students motivated and prepared for competitive examinations like GATE and UPSC.
