ELIGIBILITY FOR PhD APPLICANTS
Applicant must fulfil the following criteria:
i) Master’s degree in engineering/technology/science and application in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
OR
ii) MSc (CS)/MSc (IT)/MCA/Equivalent Non-Tech Master’s Degrees in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks having a GATE/NET/SLET score in CS/IT
OR
iii) Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 or 65% of marks
RESERVATIONS
(SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and PD categories): Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ST/PD applicants. Reservation is as per GOI rules. OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will have to enclose a certificate and self-declaration statement as per the format at Annexure-I & Annexure-II. The OBC (NCL) Certificate, issued by the competent authority, as per the Govt. of India rules, shall only be acceptable.".
FELLOWSHIP
Emoluments of a maximum amount of ₹37,000 per month for the duration of the project as per DST Norms (JRF (DST/PCPMIZ-06/2022), Project Associate-I (ANRF/OM/N-1/2024)). After the project ends, the student will receive support from the Institute fellowship as per the Institute norms.
THE SCHEDULE AND THE PROGRAMME
1. Admissions will be held based on applications received. The last date for receiving the application will be November 2, 2025 (Sunday)
2. Date of Selection in Online Mode: November 7, 2025 (Friday).
3. Shortlisting will be done based on the academic performance of the candidates. A candidate merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria may not be shortlisted.
4. There is no application fee.
5. Course Requirements, if any, will be prescribed by individual Departments.
6. There will be a written comprehensive examination after admission to determine if the student is ready to take up research work and to determine if the student has sufficient breadth of knowledge in the discipline he/she has been admitted to.

*A candidate needs to pay the hostel and mess fees only when a student joins a hostel. Hostel rent will be charged on a pro-rata basis (semester of 6 months with a charge of ₹13,750/- for the whole semester) based on when the student joins a hostel with advance mess fee ₹24000/- for 6 months.

ELIGIBILITY FOR INTERNS
Applications are invited from undergraduate and postgraduate students of Computer Science and Engineering and allied disciplines for a 2 year internship beginning November 2025.
The last date for receiving applications is November 2, 2025 (Sunday). The date of Selection in online mode is November 10, 2025 (Monday)
NOTE
1. Duration of the internship: 2 years (tentatively November 2025 to November 2027).
2. Accommodation in the hostel will be provided based on availability. The intern has to pay charges for availing hostel accommodation and mess facilities as per institute norms.
3. On completion of the internship, a certificate will be issued.
4. On-campus mode is preferred. Remote internship may be considered based on circumstances.
