About

Hello, welcome to my home page. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. I joined IIITG back in 2016 after completing my PhD from IIT Guwahati. The title of my thesis was "Indices of Comparative Advantage: A Study with Focus on Differences between Gross Trade and Value-Added Trade", where I explored the relevance of alternative RCA indices in representing the underlying trade theories, while explaining the comparative advantage of countries. Prior to my PhD, I completed M.A. and M.Phil. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. I did B.Sc. in Economics from Lady Brabourne College, University of Calcutta. I work in the areas of International Trade, Finance, and Macroeconomics. Scholars with similar research interests are welcome to reach out to me for potential research collaboration.
