About
I am an associate professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIIT Guwahati, Assam. I did my Master degree in Economics with specialization in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from Dibrugarh University and received my Ph. D. from IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal in 2014. The title of my thesis is "Economic viability and farmers adoption of Jatropha plantation in North East India." I joined IIIT Guwahati on 26th December 2014. Before joining IIIT Guwahti, I was working as an Assistant Professor at NIT Sikkim.
Research Interests
I am working on areas related to the issues of Health Economics, Experimental Economics (RCT) and Development Economics. My research works are applied in nature. Currently, I am focusing on policy interventions and people's participation in health screening program.
Teaching
Currently, I am teaching three courses to B. Tech students of IIIT Guwahati namely Economics, Macroeconomic problems and policies, and Consumer behaviour and welfare economics. I have also developed courses for Ph. D. students.
