Applications are invited for admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes starting in August 2023. There is no application fee. GATE score is not mandatory. No GATE scholarships are available for these courses. The departments and areas in which these programmes will be offered are:

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Minimum CPI of either 6.0 in a 10-point scale or 60% of marks in the qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different disciplines, as indicated below.

Computer Science & Engineering

(Online)

Working IT professionals with BE/B.Tech in any discipline OR M.Sc in Computer Science/Information Technology OR Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science and Engineering OR MCA from a recognized Institution. Candidates must have at least two years' experience in IT related work which includes programming experience.

BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology /equivalent program OR M.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) OR Graduates (AMIETE) from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science and Engineering OR MCA from a recognized Institution.

Computer Science & Engineering

(On-Campus)

BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology / equivalent program OR M.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) OR Graduates (AMIETE) from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science and Engineering OR MCA from a recognized Institution.

The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application based on its evaluation of whether an applicant can complete the course or not.

Electronics & Communication Engineering

(Online)

BE/B. Tech degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent or MSc(Electronics) or Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Both working professionals and non-working candidates are allowed for the online M.Tech programme in ECE.

Electronics & Communication Engineering

(On Campus)

The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application based on its evaluation of whether an applicant can complete the course or not.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS FOR CANDIDATES STILL TO APPEAR IN QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS

Candidates still to appear in their qualifying degree examinations may also apply, provided they appear in all their qualifying degree examinations and complete all requirements for their degrees 31-07-2023. If selected, such candidates shall be admitted provisionally, and they will have to furnish the results of their qualifying degree examinations latest by 30-10-2023. Further, they must fulfil the minimum requirements of marks/CPI, and other conditions. Failure to fulfil any of these requirements, shall automatically result in cancellation of admission.

Relaxation for SC/ST/PwD Candidates: Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ST/PwD applicants.

Reservation of Seats for SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), EWS, and PwD categories.

OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will have to enclose certificate and self-declaration statement as per format indicated below. The OBC(NCL) Certificate, issued by competent authority, on or after 01-06-2023, shall only be acceptable.

SC, ST, and EWS students must provide certificates issued by a competent authority.

PwD candidates must produce approved Medical Certificate for 40% (or more) disability.

Fees

These are self-financed courses and all students have to pay the full fees as shown below.

ONLINE Mode:

Payment of Fees by M.Tech students in online mode is to be on a per credit basis. In order to allow students to take up the courses in the programmes at their own pace, fees will be charged on a per credit completion basis every semester.

Fees for the Online M.Tech CSE programme

Charge per Credit: Rs. 3500/-.

A student taking the normal load will pay fees as follows:

Notes:

{C}1. {C} Students taking more than the minimum number of credits will not be charged for the extra credits.

{C}2. {C} If a student registers for 30 credits, he has to pay fees of Rs. 1,05,000/-. Subsequently, if he drops a course of 6 credits, Rs, 21,000 will be carried forward to the next semester. If a student fails in a course, she will be charged for the course, but if she repeats the course or gives a supplementary examination, there will be no extra charge.

{C}3. {C} So, a student has to pay fees of Rs. 4,20,000.00 for the programme, irrespective of the time taken to complete, or the number of extra credits taken beyond the specified 120 credits.

Fees for the Online M.Tech ECE (Communication and Signal Processing) programme

Charge per Credit: Rs. 2500/-.

A student taking the normal load will pay fees as follows:

Application form along with the self-attested copies of all degrees; mark sheets and GATE / NET score card copy must be uploaded in the google form. The application form (other than Annexures) should be filled in the provided Word File template and converted to pdf before uploading.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates will be called for online interview by email. The details of online interview will be mentioned in the call letter. The students will have to pay the first semester requisite fees on due time after declaration of result in order to reserve their seat. Waitlisted candidates will be offered the seat if any seat remains vacant due to non-payment of fees.
